Charlotte 2 Canada by Car - Toronto, Ontario #road_trip #travalogue
After the 1000 island cruise we hit the road instantly and reached the city named Mississauga. It is 40 mins away from Downtown Toronto. Thought of treating ourselves with Indian Cuisine that night. This place is filled with Indian Restaurants and equally crowded too!!
Expecting a busy day in Toronto Downtown we went to bed early that night. Next Morning we started a bit late around 10am just to avoid the rush hour traffic and reached Toronto Downtown at 11:00.
When enquired at the Hotel reception we were advised to visit handful of places which pretty much seemed easy to cover.
There were loads of parking garages available so we comfortably parked closer to CN Tower and walked there to get the tickets. Heat Advisory was issued on that day but looking at the temperature (closer to 90 F) we thought it isn't going to affect us much but we were wrong.
CN Tower |
CN Tower is a good place to visit and it took almost an hour and when we came out it was lunch time. Ripley's Aquarium is located just next door but we decided to skip it as we were not interested.
To beat the heat we went to an Indian Restaurant nearby and spent almost 2 hours.
We didn't know what to do next. Cruise was available where you could see the skyline of the Toronto City from the ship but kids were exhausted from the heat and moreover we thought it might look beautiful in the night lights.
Two more places from our lists are a bit far away and sub-way train was available but with the kids and the heat we were reluctant to look for it.
Around 5 in the evening we decided to abandon our cruise plan and took the car from the garage and drove towards Dundas Square. The drive almost took 15mins from the CN Tower. Luckily we found a paid parking spot.
DUNDAS SQUARE |
We visited most famous Nathan Phillips Square. It is just a busy place in the street for your pictures taken!!!

Toronto Eaton Center is another place we had in our list. It is nothing but a shopping mall. From Dundas Square we walked there and finished our dinner as we were not in the mood for shopping.
While driving back to our hotel room we enjoyed the night view of Downtown Toronto in the backdrop of lighted Cruise Ship from our car.
Toronto Downtown is a nice place to visit. It will barely take 4-5hrs of your time!!
