Charlotte 2 Canada by Car - Niagara Falls, Ontario #road_trip #travalogue

Next Morning We were all excited for couple of reasons. The first one is that our trip is almost coming to an end. Yes, we were all home sick and tired of crashing at hotel rooms and eating outside food, The second reason is that we were about to witness the beauty of the elegant yet Grand "Niagara Falls"

This is my 6th time visiting Niagara Falls and the very first time from the Canadian Side. That first glimpse never cease to amaze you. Such a treat to our senses.

1 hour drive from Mississauga felt like forever. We reached Niagara Falls just before noon and paid parking was available everywhere. We enquired about tickets available as a bundle but that didn't interest us. we went ahead and purchased tickets for "Hornblower Niagara City Cruise" Canadian version of " Maid of the Mist". I had the same experience as of my pervious visits,

After this we didn't rush to any attractions but enjoyed our afternoon looking at the Horse Shoe Falls which is the cascade's most expansive section which can only be viewed from Canadian Side.

In the evening we tried "Journey Behind The Falls". It is an unique experience.

Once the sun set we had our Dinner and hopped on to the "Niagara Sky Wheel" to enjoy the beauty of the falls in the glittering night lights. This attraction is only available from the Canadian side.




Thus Our day at Niagara Falls, Ontario came to a pleasant end.

Next day we crossed the Rainbow Bridge by car stopping at the immigration. Once we entered Niagara Falls, NY we parked our car and again crossed the Rainbow Bridge but this time by foot. It is a great feel to stand on the bridge by keeping one foot at USA and another at the Canadian side.

Again we need to stop at the immigration office on our way back to Niagara Falls, USA. They took around 30mins for questioning and verifying our documents.

It was more crowded in the USA side than the Canadian side. We purchased tickets for "Cave of the Winds" one of the must experience attraction. We came out soaking wet from it. Everyone enjoyed it to the fullest.

It was evening and almost time for us to drive back to Charlotte.

Canadian Side Niagara Falls is more commercialized whereas USA side is neatly maintained as it comes under the Dept of National Parks. It will always be my favorite side to enjoy the beauty of the Cascade.

It was the year 2006. The very first time I visited Niagara Falls. Mesmerized by its elegancy and the grandness I was standing there looking at the people in the long distance. One day of sight seeing in New York needed 2 days of resting!! So that's what we did. We spent a day relaxing in New Jersey visiting friends and temples. In the evening we started driving to Connecticut. The drive was only 2 hours but the weekend traffic made it longer. After 4 hours of drive we reached Danbury, Connecticut. That place is always close to the heart because it is the first city we landed after departing from our mother land. The Hat City hasn't changed much even after a decade. Next day went faster than we thought and we had to start our drive to Canada. After finishing our lunch on the way at Poughkeepsie, NY we drove straight to Montreal, Quebec.
