Canada 2 Charlotte By Car - Finale - Hershey Chocolate Factory and Luray Caverns #road_trip #travalogue

It is time for us to drive back to Charlotte, NC. The total driving time is almost 12 hours.

Heart and soul filled with the Serene beauty of Niagara Falls we started our drive towards Williamsport, Pennsylvania. We had plans to visit couple of places on our way back instead of driving straightly which might bore the kids.

After driving almost 4hrs we reached our Hotel room. It was a tiring night especially for those who drove all the way after a heavy day of sight seeing.

Next morning kids were very excited as we were about to visit "Hersey Chocolate World". The Hersey Park has Amusement Park too. But we didn't plan for it.




We purchased the tickets for the Chocolate World online as some discounts were available. Most of the attractions were indoor and timed except the bus tour of Hersey Town.

I wouldn't really suggest this place as the tickets were pricey and felt like a rip off compared to Disney Parks. Kids too lost interest after some time and they only keen on gobbling chocolates given in each rides and shows.

At the end of the day we drove towards Stephens City, Virginia. It was a 2hrs drive.

Before reaching our ultimate final destination "Home" we thought of visiting one last attraction on our list Luray Caverns. From our Hotel room was an hour away.

We purchased the tickets at the site and the whole tour took about an hour and a half. The natural formation of various minerals were unique and eye catchy at the beginning. Decent place to visit one time. 




The tickets we purchased also grand access to Car and Carriage Museum and the Toy Town Junction, situated adjacent to the caverns. These are very small exhibits and barely takes 30-45mins of your time.

Around Noon we started driving towards Charlotte, NC via Blue Ridge Mountains stopping for lunch on the way. 

Our final stretch of driving took 5hrs and reached home sweet Home. After spending 15+ days on the road driving 1000+ miles made us love our place more than ever !!!

It was the year 2006. The very first time I visited Niagara Falls. Mesmerized by its elegancy and the grandness I was standing there looking at the people in the long distance. One day of sight seeing in New York needed 2 days of resting!! So that's what we did. We spent a day relaxing in New Jersey visiting friends and temples. In the evening we started driving to Connecticut. The drive was only 2 hours but the weekend traffic made it longer. After 4 hours of drive we reached Danbury, Connecticut. That place is always close to the heart because it is the first city we landed after departing from our mother land. The Hat City hasn't changed much even after a decade. Next day went faster than we thought and we had to start our drive to Canada. After finishing our lunch on the way at Poughkeepsie, NY we drove straight to Montreal, Quebec.
